Wang YMCA is offering another exciting fitness challenge for all fitness enthusiasts! During the month of May, participants of Fitlinxx Ironman Challenge will have a whole month to complete the ironman triathlon distance: swim 2.4 miles, run 26.2 miles and bike 112 miles. All scores and results will have to be recorded using Fitlinxx exercise tracking software (if you do not have a Fitlinxx account: set-up and quick tutorial will be quick and easy). Please review attached document for official rules and regulations.
I would like to personally invite you to join this fun and exciting challenge!
Since I've been looking for a new challenge and something to get motivated about, I've decided to try to do this. I'll be keeping track of my progress on this blog so if you're interested in how I do, check back daily/weekly as I will enter my stats after each workout.
- May 1: Ran 2.25 miles, biked 8.66 miles, did not swim due to swim lessons at the YMCA.
- May 2: Off day. Hungover from wedding and had softball game. Didn't make it to gym.
- May 3: Ran 2.30 miles, biked 6.25 miles, swam 200 meters.
- May 4: Ran 2.00 miles, biked 10.50 miles, swam 200 meters.
- May 5: Ran 1.80 miles, biked 6.30 miles, swam 200 meters.
- May 6: Full body weight lifting, swam 200 meters.
- May 7: Ran 2.70 miles, biked 7.30 miles, swam 200 meters.
- May 8: Ran 3.50 miles, biked 10.00 miles.
- May 9: Off day, softball game.
- May 10: Swam 400 meters, softball game.
- May 11: Ran 6.50 miles, biked 10.00 miles, swam 200 meters.
- May 12: Ran 1.35 miles, biked 6.00 miles, swam 200 meters.
- May 13: Full body weight lifting, no cardio
- May 14: Ran 1.10 miles, biked 6.10 miles
- May 15: Off day, helped move furniture, attended 2 graduation parties
- May 16: Off day, softball
- May 17: Swam 600 meters.
- May 18: Flu (damn!)
- May 19: Flu (damn!)
- May 20: Ran 2.75 miles, biked 6.05 miles
- May 21: Biked 16.15 miles
- May 22: Swam 400 meters
- May 23: Biked 16.80 miles, swam 200 meters.
- May 24: Off day, softball game
- May 25: Off day, beach and bbq
- May 26: Biked 3.25 miles, swam 400 meters.
- May 27: Off day, lazy.
- May 28: Swam 400 meters.
- May 29: Off day, lazy, went to beach.
- May 30: Off day, lazy and went to Sox game.
Total distance completed so far: about 26.2 miles run (marathon completed!), about 113 miles bike (biking completed!), 3800 meters swim
